Guinness World Record Attempt: Fastest Marathon with Multiple Sclerosis

Jono Astle

My name is Jono Astle. I work and live in Battersea, London, and I was diagnosed with MS in 2019.

As with many others who have been in a similar situation, this was a difficult diagnosis to accept, even with an amazingly supportive network of family, friends and colleagues.

Running has been a big part of my life for the past few years - I have found it one of the best ways to deal physically and emotionally with MS. Much of it off the beaten track and  alongside our cocker spaniel, Bosco (photo below).

MS affects around 130,000 people in the UK alone. Treatments have revolutionised the way in which the condition is approached, however many people are not as lucky as I have been, and there is still no cure.

This record attempt will raise money for the MS Society -  a vital source of research funding, support and information for people with MS (and their families) in the UK.

Thank you for visiting my page, and for supporting an important cause that is close to my heart.
